The Digital and Innovation Team have three main teams within their department. This includes the Digital Tech team who lead the use of technology at Avios to improve customer experience and commercial performance. We spearhead the adoption of emerging and established technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mobile, Web, APIs and Automation through an open innovation process that creates real products for real people.
The B2C Digital team create engaging online experiences for our customers whereas the B2B Digital Team aim to make Avios even more exciting for our Partners. Whether it be creating new innovative solutions, new customer journeys, improving existing ones or coming up with new digital products our aim is to make it easier and more engaging to be a customer of Avios and interact with us through our digital channels.

The Corporate Development and Strategy team are responsible for defining our strategy and setting the compass for the business to align to, ensuring that everything we do meets the long term vision. The team then also own the development and execution of the company's growth strategy and expansion to new markets. Projects include: strategic partnerships, development of new revenue streams/business models and mergers

The Customer Department empowers everyone at Avios to put the customer at the heart of every decision. Using customer data and insight, the team supports the wider business, as well as our partners, to understand their customers and the way they behave. This, in turn, ensures that we are developing the right products, capabilities and marketing to drive relevant, valuable and emotionally engaging experiences.

The Commercial Department consists of the Partnership and Business Development teams responsible for building, developing and maintaining successful commercial relationships with key partners. They ensure potential new markets and partnerships are explored ensuring we achieve our global revenue, margin and customer targets. The teams, led by our Heads of Markets, are based in the UK, Spain, US, South Africa, Ireland and France.
Travel & Pricing has the responsibility for driving the value of all rewards across the Avios currency. The team focus on creating compelling rewards (products and prices) which engage customers enough to collect more than previously. The team are accountable for contracting all reward products globally (including air, rail, sea, accommodation, holiday, car hire, leisure activities and more) via business to business supplier partnerships, to then be priced for the customers around the world, with planned annual and tactical activity a core part of this area.

IT, known internally as Business Change and Technology are responsible for delivering a secure, stable and responsive IT service to Avios. The IT team is accountable for architecture, application development and IT operations for Avios’s internal and revenue generating applications such as the avios.com web site. The teams engage fully with business changes and seek to offer a broad, business focused service with a strong professional ethic.

Our dynamic and highly respected Finance team operates at the heart of the business providing company-wide finance support, external reporting and management information. The business is extremely complex, dealing with billions of Avios being issued and redeemed each year by millions of members across multiple Loyalty and Frequent Flyer schemes in several different countries. This makes Finance an integral part in achieving the company's objectives.

The Corporate Governance department is responsible for setting out, supporting and assuring the principles and processes by which Avios operates, to ensure that we work in such a way that meets our company objectives. The department ensures Avios is a responsible business by identifying, managing and reporting risk, providing legal and regulatory advice and assuring continued adherence to compliance processes and procedures.
