We're really excited to be recruiting our first ever Digital Grad who will spend 18-months working in various teams within our Digital department (likely to be 2-3 rotations). The placements will provide you with a breadth of experience across different digital functions, helping to develop key skills, industry knowledge and personal capabilities. 

You will spend time working with various Digital Product Teams (called Squads), such as those that build products to enable customers to collect and spend Avios, as well as supporting our digital transformation efforts and activity across Avios. 

The role will be based at our awesome, new Digital office in London (on Chancery Lane), with some travel to other Avios and International Airline Group (IAG) offices, mainly in the UK.

So what you can expect of the programme?  You will ...

  • Be working closely with the Digital Squads on day-to-day activities to drive product enhancements, which will provide you with hands-on experience and great exposure to product development/management
  • Have the opportunity to grow your digital and loyalty industry knowledge, expand your skills and share your ideas, thoughts and experience with our Leadership team
  • Help us to identify and research exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies and tools to solve existing & future customer needs 
  • Have plenty of opportunity to collaborate and work with a wide variety of colleagues across various departments such as Commercial, Finance, People and Data, as well as the wider IAG Group
  • Learn how to work & deliver products in an agile/iterative environment
  • Have a tailored induction programme, as well as ongoing development opportunities and support throughout the 18-months (and beyond), which will pave the way for an amazing career

What we are looking for?

Here are some of the key skills/qualifications we're looking for (please read the attached JD for a full list of what we're ideally looking for ):  

  • On track for, or achieved, at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in any degree discipline
  • Demonstration of achieving excellence either within education or outside of the classroom 
  • Creative, collaborative and curious thinker who is keen to bring new ideas to Avios 
  • Passionate about delivering customer value 
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability take the lead, prioritise demanding workloads/projects and work under one's own steam  
  • Brave - looks for opportunities to innovate, comfortable with ambiguity and change and conviction to make decisions 
  • Hunger to learn and develop with a genuine interest in digital technologies, as well as travel loyalty industry
  • A natural problem solver and collaborator who loves a challenge
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Previous work experience would be beneficial (e.g. internships, placements, or part/full-time work experience) ideally within a commercial, customer-facing or digital/agile environment
  • Spanish language skills desirable
